Coach Sandi is a hard-working and dedicated owner.  She founded the Gems Cheer Stars in 2003, and has continued to improve the program ever since.  At age six, she began to dance and was on a competition dance team that competed all over the U.S. until college.  In 1988, she graduated from Monmouth College with a business degree and dual concentrations in Marketing and Management.  She is NCSSE Safety Certified in coaching and tumbling. Coach Sandi is also USASF certified in levels 1-5.  She has taken multiple courses and is a certified judge and instructor.  Over the years, her teams have won many local and national competitions.  In 2007, she led the senior team to a National Championship.  After four successful years, she is excited to begin a fifth year with a new gym and many new faces.  Her mission is to promote TEAM - Together Everyone Achieves More.  She is committed to individual goals and team spirit and BELIEVES everyone should reach for the STARS.

Coach Jen is a determined and motivated coach.  NCSSE Safety Certified in coaching and tumbling, she has been a cheerleading coach for seven years and is currently in her third year coaching for the Gems Cheer Stars.  She has had  a love of cheerleading since second grade. She has cheered for football, basketball and at the competitive level, winning local and national competitions. Jen was Captain for the Morris Knolls High School cheerleading team and received an outstanding athlete award for cheerleading.  A 2005 graduate from Morris Knolls High School, she is currently attending the County College of Morris, majoring in education.  Jen is looking forward to an exciting new year with the Gems Cheer Stars!!!

Coach Cheryl  is no stranger to competition.  She began competeting in gymnastics at the age of 5.  in 1975 qualified to participate in the Jr. Olympics.  She started coaching gymnastics after attending the University of Colorodo in Denver, on a scholarship.  While coaching her team went on to win medals and National championships.  While starting a family Cheryl continued to coach private lessons  out of her home with over 50 students.

Coach Victoria is looking forward to this upcoming season. She is NCSSE Safety Certified in coaching and tumbling. She cheered for her middle school cheerleading team for two years. Victoria’s first year in New Jersey she became an original Gems Cheer Star for three seasons. Victoria graduated from Sparta High School in 2006. Entering her junior year at Ramapo College Victoria is public relations major. After one year coaching rec cheerleading Victoria knew that she wanted to coach at a competitive level. She is so excited to be coaching for Gems Cheer Stars this year!!!!!

Coach Caitlin is excited to continue her cheerleading career with GEMS Cheer Stars. Caitlin has been cheering since the age of 5 and is an original Gems Cheer Star. After cheering for her town’s football team for 9 years, she went on to cheer competitively. She also cheered for her high school team all 4 years and was co-captain. Caitlin coached for her town’s cheerleading team for one year as well. This led her to the All-Star Cheerleading World. Caitlin is currently a junior at Ramapo College, majoring in Communication Arts. NCSSE Safety Certified in Tumbling and Coaching Caitlin is a talented and encouraging coach and is very excited for the 2009-2010 season!

Coach Megan is a fun, loving and devoted cheerleading coach. She is NCSSE Safety Certified in coaching and tumbling. She has been a cheerleader for fifteen years. In high school Megan was the captain of her freshman cheerleading team and cheered for Varsity her senior year; leading the football team to an undefeated season and winning state champs. Megan was an original Gems Cheer Stars and cheered for three memorable years. Megan graduated from Morris Knolls High School in 2006, and is currently attending County College of Morris as a Nursing major. Megan is looking forward to coaching for GEMS CHEER STARS this season!!!!!!!!
